Dateline: 4th December, 2003 David Hemmings Actor David Hemmings has died of a heart attack, aged 62. He had just finished a days filming in Romania, where he was working on Samantha's Child, his 77th film. His most recent film appearances were in Gladiator, where he played Cassius, The Gangs of New York (Mr Schermerhorn ), and, most recently, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. However he is probably best known for two films he made in the sixties: Barbarella with Jane Fonda and Blowup with Vanessa Redgrave. Since then he has directed 24 films and TV series, including The A-Team, Quantum Leap and Magnum PI. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
