HOME Manchester stages its third annual Orbit Festival, featuring performances from "some of the most exciting theatre-makers working in the UK today", from October 23 to November 3.

Last year, the event looked at our place in the world. This year takes it a stage further by presenting new work from theatre-makers across the globe who want to explore how we face the world, our relationship with the past, how we remember, the stories we tell ourselves and what it is that makes us who we are today.

Festival highlights include performances by celebrated Manchester poet and writer Lemn Sissay reading from his new collection Gold From the Stone, Selina Thompson’s salt. about ancestry, home, and being part of a diaspora and Windows of Displacement, Akeim Toussaint Buck’s vital and timely exploration of the politics surrounding the movement of people.
