Dateline: 1st February, 2004 Hotbed: The Cambridge New Theatre Writing Festival Following the tremendous audience and critical success of the first Hotbed in 2002, Junction CDC and Menagerie Theatre will once again be hosting a nationally unique three-week festival focusing on the creation and presentation of new writing for the theatre. The festival will take place in Cambridge in three venues over the summer and will include commissions, readings, writing and dramaturgy workshops, a new children's play, guest productions, and a forum debate. There are opportunities for writers to produce a play for two actors lasting 15-20 minutes. Each piece will be given at least four performances in two different venues during the festival. Completed scripts only. Please send two copies and a SAE to Cat Moore at The Junction, Clifton Road, Cambridge, CB1 7GX. No unfinished drafts or outlines. Once they have been chosen, should scripts require further development the organisers may be able to offer workshop facilities, access to actors and a dialogue with the artistic team prior to the festival. Deadline For more information, please contact Cat Moore on 01223 578000 or email her at Cat@junction.co.uk http://www.hotbedfest.co.uk Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
