Dateline: 7th September, 2004
Hudd Gets out of and then back into the Cadillac On 3rd September Roy Hudd left the cast of The Solid Gold Cadillac on medical advice. The revival of the 1953 Broadway comedy, which co-stars Patricia Routledge, is currently playing at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre ahead of a West End transfer to the Garrick on 22nd September. Hudd, who is 68, went to see a doctor, complaining of exhaustion, and was told to rest. His understudy, Derek Howard, took over. Now he has been pronounced fit enough to return and he will rejoin the show on 13th September when it moves to its second and final date before the West End transfer, Malvern Theatre. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
