Dateline: 13th October, 2002 Imprint at the Royal Court In March the Royal Court invited entries for their young writers' festival. Now the theatre is to present Imprint, the best six plays from the the 350 entered. There are two programmes: Programme 1 A Day in Dull Armour Chloe Moss is 26 and joined the Young Writers Programme in 2001. Since then she has attended a 17 25 playwriting group, an advanced writing group and recently represented the Royal Court in Hungary at an international playwrights' exchange, Interplay 2002. Graffiti This is Richard Leightons first play. He was inspired by his teacher who had a play produced in the last Young Writers Festival. Richard is 15. Programme 2 Just a Bloke David Watson is 17. He joined Birmingham Reps scheme for young writers in 1999 and has had three play readings there. The One with the Oven Emma Rosoman is 26 and has been writing for as long as she can remember. This is her first professional production. Night Owls Night Owls was submitted for the Young Writers Festival when Will Evans sent it to the YWP as an example of his writing to gain a place on a playwriting course. Will (22) is from Yorkshire, and a former art student interested in writing for theatre and film. Parallel Lines Miranda Howard-Williams is 16 and has been a member of the YWP since she joined the 13 16 playwriting group earlier this year, where she developed the characters for Parallel Lines. She finished it on the bus on the way home! There will also be four rehearsed readings: Monday 28th October at 2.30pm Wednesday 30th October at 2.30pm Friday 1st November at 2.30pm Thursday 21st November at 2.30pm Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
