Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is appealing for information on an actor who appeared in a production of The Little Minister in 1909.
The play was published in 1897 and is based on a novel by J M Barrie. The theatre’s chief executive Adrian Jackson has received a framed collection of old postcards featuring nine cast members photographed in costume from The Little Minister. They were signed and posted to one of the cast, William Oliver, at Darlington Street, Wolverhampton.
The Grand Theatre heritage web site has no record of the production which, based on the postmark and inscription on the mount, took place in December 1909.
Anyone with information should contact the Grand’s sales and marketing manager Scott Bird on 01902 573311 or by e-mail at [email protected].
