Poet and lyricist Jim MacCool, a regular visitor to Buxton Fringe, returns for the 2016 festival with a tale about Marxist theorist, philosopher and revolutionary socialist Rosa Luxemburg.

Told in verse, Rosalita—The Tale of Rosa Luxemburg features contemporary Berlin music-hall songs with “fresh, hard-hitting words”. It will be a family affair, with Molly and Fionnuala MacCool giving voice to the songs that intersperse this “gripping and grisly tale”. Musical director and accompanist for this work-in-progress is David Harrod.

Rosalita—The Tale of Rosa Luxemburg can be seen in the Green Man Gallery, Hardwick Square South, Buxton on Wednesday 6 July at 1PM. Admission is free.
