Andrew Lloyd Webber

Joseph TV Dream for Lloyd Webber

The BBC and Andrew Lloyd Webber are to collaborate on another reality TV show to find the stars of Lloyd Webber's proosed revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the West End in 2007. Called Any Dream Will Do, it is expected the follow the same pattern as How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, the hunt for comeone to play Maria in The Sound of Music, which resulted in Connie Fisher's getting the part.

Like the previous show, it will be hosted by Graham Norton and will air in the summer.

"The success of Maria this summer was a real boost for musical theatre in Britain and I was particularly thrilled with the reaction from school children up and down the country,” Lloyd Webber said.

"I cannot wait to get them involved in Any Dream Will Do and to get back into the studio with Graham. Joseph started in schools and I am looking for a great school choir – to play in the West End, we need a smashing girl, a great boy and of course a Pharoah/Elvis!"

A production of Joseph, produced by Bill Kenwright, is currently touring nationwide.
