Music Theatre Stars Sought in Hartlepool The search is on for new talent to take part in a dazzling musical show in Hartlepool. International theatre star Peter Karrie comes to Hartlepool's Town Hall Theatre for one night only on Saturday 25 September with his show Peter Karrie and Friends. He's on the lookout for local people to take part in his stage show on that night and will be holding auditions for people of any age who can sing, dance or have other talents. As well as being an international television, radio and musical theatre performer, Peter is also a top singing talent. He recently celebrated 25 years playing lead roles in London's West End, starring in Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Chess, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar. He was internationally acclaimed in the role of the Phantom, starring in over 2,500 performances in London, Canada, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as on a prestigious Millennium Tour. The show which Peter is bringing to Hartlepool features Peter and other stars giving audiences a night of musicals magic as well as an insight into the usually mysterious backstage atmosphere of some of the world's most prestigious theatre venues. Also joining Peter on stage will be choirs and stage school youngsters. Peter is always keen to attract new talent to the world of professional concerts and wherever he takes his show, he always stages open auditions for local people who are keen to take part in the show. Performances of Peter Karrie and Friends are also helping Bobath, a charity for disabled youngsters.
