Katrina Bryan, best known for playing Nina in the hit CBeebies’ series Nina and the Neurons, is to join the cast of Lichfield Garrick’s 2018 panto Dick Whittington.
Bryan will play Fairy Moonbeam. Nina and the Neurons has been on television since 2007 and is shown across the world.
She said, “I visited Lichfield when I was a child and remember having a lovely time there so I’m thrilled to be coming for panto. It’s a beautiful city and I can’t wait to perform in the fun and fabulous Dick Whittington at the Garrick.”
Garrick executive director Karen Foster added, “pantomime is an exciting experiment bringing together lots of different elements which whizzes and fizzes just like the best chemistry experiment. What better star to add to this mix than Katrina Bryan, CBeebies’ best-known scientist, to play a sparkling, whooshing, magical Fairy Moonbeam.”
Joining Bryan will be Welsh actor Ieuan Rhys who will play Alderman Fitzwarren, and Sam Rabone and Ben Thornton who return for a third year.
Dick Whittington, the third panto at the Garrick to be co-produced with Evolution Pantomimes, will run from Thursday 29 November until Monday 31 December.
