A North East theatre company, KG Productions, which has just finished its relaunch production A Cold Coming, is seeking new plays. The company's artistic director (who is also the BTG editor) Peter Lathan said, "After years of doing corporate shows, TIE and touring pantos, we wanted to get back into real theatre, taking on plays which challenge us and our audience. "Our first production, Chaz Brenchley's A Cold Coming, which we commissioned, was just perfect: beautifully written, treating a difficult subject with sensitivity and passion, making demands on both us and our audience. Light comedies are definitely not wanted! "We've no objection to a NE bias," added Lathan, "but we're not looking for a 'Geordie' play. There are plenty of them around: we want something more universal." Interested writers should send a synopsis, character list and the first couple of scenes (about ten pages) to kgprods@hotmail.co.uk Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
