Ladykillers on Stage The 1955 Ealing Comedy The Ladykillers is to be brought to the stage later this year, first at the Liverpool Playhouse and then at the Gielgud in Shaftesbury Avenue. Adapted by Father Ted writer Graham Linehan, it will be directed by Sean Foley. Marcia Warren will play Mrs Wilberforce and the rest of the cast will be Peter Capaldi, James Fleet, Ben Miller, Clive Rowe and Stephen Wight. The production will open in Liverpool on 3rd November, running until 19th, and will then transfer to the Gielgud where it will begin previews on 26th November, opening on 7th December and booking initially until 18th February, 2012. The original film of The Ladykillers, made at Ealing Studios, starred Alec Guinnes, Cecil Parker, Herbert Lom, Peter Sellers, Danny Green, Jack Warner and Katie Johnson.
