Dateline: 9th May, 2004 Workshop Leader Training Every year English Touring Theatre, and many other organisations, recruit workshop leaders for a range of arts education projects. ETT is setting up a learning group to share and develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to be a workshop leader. This group is for theatre professionals who have some knowledge of working in education but want to know more, and who would like to respond to the growing demand for artists who can work in education. A free short training course is the first event. It will cover such issues as:
It will be held at ETT'S rehearsal rooms near Waterloo, Central London. The group will be facilitated by Kate Hall, ETT's Education & Access Manager, who has delivered arts education projects for a range of setting and organisations, including the RSC, Manchester Royal Exchange, CAPE and many local authorities and school groups. In peer learning groups participants share experiences, to reflect on their and others practice and to respond to an active learning environment, i.e. games, role play and mind-mapping.
