No co-operation from RABs

Under the controversial plans for the Arts Council of England to assume the responsibilities of the Regional Arts Boards, the latter were due to hand over their work to ACE last week but have not done so. The vast majority are totally opposed to the plan and they have been suppported by MPs from all sides of the House who used a debate on the future of the RABs to call upon the government to oppose the scheme.

Wales Milennium Centre CEO leaves

Kathryn McDowell, the Chief Executive of the £92m Wales Millennium Centre which just weeks ago got the go-ahead from the National Assembly, has resigned to take up the post of artistic and administrative director of the City of London Festival.
