ACW accepts Weston resignation
On Friday 22nd September, the Arts Council of Wales accepted, "with regret", the resignation of chief executive Jo Weston. She said that it was right that she should accept responsibility for the criticisms of the ACW but that she was saddened by them
In their statement the Council recognised her "considerable achievements" but said that accepting her resignation was the right thing to do to regain the confidence of the arts community in Wales.
Weston's union, the Association of First Division Civil Servants, in a statement on Tuesday (19th), said that her treatment - they said she had been treated "appallingly" - amounted to constructive dismissal, and that it had been fuelled by "internal rivaliries".
