Verity Bargate Award winner announced
The winner of this year's Verity Bargate Award for new writers is Shan Khan, an actor and writer from Glasgow, for his first play Office.
According to this week's Stage, East Lothian Council is considering ways of reducing the cost to them of the Brunton Theatre (Musselburgh), which they support to the extent of nearly £460,000 a year. One of the possibilities being considered, The Stage reports, is the closure of the theatre's production company.
