Coming soon to the Royal Court
In addition to the season of Sarah Kane plays already announced (March to June), the Royal Court has announced further productions. On 9th and 10th April there will be a rehearsed reading of Kane's Phaedra's Love and, on 11th and 12th, of Cleansed. The entire Kane season will be in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, and will be followed (21st June to 14th July) by a production of Pinter's Mountain Language/Ashes to Ashes.
In the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs the April-July programme will be
McPherson at the Soho
Two early monologues by Conor McPherson are to be presented at the Soho Theatre from 30th April to 10th May. Rum and Vodka and The Good Thief will then go on an international tour.
Elton writing Queen musical
Ben Elton has been working on the book for a new musical with the band Queen. In a radio interview Brian May admitted that they have been working on the usical for four years, but now Elton has come up with a "fantastic idea", and they hope to have it onstage late this year or at the beginning of next.

At the Tron
The Tron, Glasgow, is presenting a little known play by John Steinbeck, Buring Bright from 13th to 24th March.
Comedy at WYP
Ian Brown's production of The Comedy of Errors has opened at the West Yorkshire Playhosue and will run until 7th April.
Coward premiere opens this week
14th March sees the English premiere of the Noel Coward play Semi-Monde at London's Lyric Theatre.
Closing (very) early
The new comedy by Peter Tilbury, Under the Doctor, starring Peter Davison and Anton Rogers, is to close after a run of only five weeks. It will end on 24th March, but had been booking until the middle of May.
