Tricycle revives Edinburgh award-winning play
Zinnie Harris' Edinburgh Fringe award-winning play Further Than the Furthest Thing, which was first produced at the Tron, Glasgow, and went on to Edinburgh's Travese and then to the RNT, is to be revived at Kilburn's Tricycle Theatre. The play will have a five week run, starting on 22nd May.

Noises Off West End transfer
The National Theatre's production of Michael Frayn's Noises Off opens at the Piccadilly on 3rd May. It sold out during its run at the National.

Fo farce for Clwyd
Clwyd Theatr Cymru is to present Dario Fo's political farce Accidental Death of an Anarchist in their Mold theatre from 3rd to 26th May.

Kane on TV tonight
Channel 4 is to present Sarah Kane's Skin at 12.10 tonight (Sunday, 29th April). The play, about a skinhead who strikes up a friendship with a black woman, stars Ewen Bremner.

Extending
Three West End shows have announced new booking periods:

New matinees for Secret Garden
From 27th May to 15th July there will be Sunday matinees (at 2.30pm) of the RSC production of The Secret Garden at the Aldwych. These will replace the Monday evening performances.

New Berkoff premieres at Nottingham
Ritual in Blood, a new play by Steven Berkoff, premieres at the Nottingham Playhouse on 25th May.

Albee premieres at the National
The UK premieres of two new Edward Albee plays, Marriage Play and Finding the Sun, will open at the RNT on 2nd May.

Two Shepard plays this summer
Two of US writer Sam Shepard's plays are to be seen in the UK this summer. The English Touring Theatre will tour Fool for Love (1983), opening at the Lyceum, Crewe, on 8th May, and going on to Salford, Liverpool, Greenwich, Oxford and Malvern.

His 1986 play A Lie of the Mind opens at the Donmar on 4th July (previews from 28th June) and continues to 1st September.

The understudy's understudy!
Alexandra Jay, who has been taking the place of Martine McCutcheon as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, was taken ill herself this week with tonsilitis, and her place had to be taken by Kerry Ellis.
