Miller premiere for the Almeida
Islington's Almeida Theatre will present the UK premiere of Arthurs Miller's Mr Peters' Connections from 20th July to 2nd September. It will star American actor John Cullum, who has twice won a Tony Award.

Reduced prices for Villain
In the last week of The Villains' Opera at the RNT's Olivier Theatre all seats are being reduced in price (from 5th to 10th June). The show has been running since 11th April.

Passion Play transfers
Peter Nichols' Passion Play, starring Cherie Lunghi, Cheryl Campbell, Martin jarvis and James Laurenson, which ends its sell-out run at the Donmar Warehouse on 10th June, will transfer to the larger Comedy Theatre on 21st June. The cast will transfer with the play, except for Jarvis who will be replaced by Nick Henson.

Closing
Alan Bennett's Lady in the Van is to close on 15th July and Alan Plater's Peggy for You will close this Saturday, 10th June.

New Guardsman production planned
Greta Scacchi is to star in a new production of Molnar's The Guardsman which is due to open at the Theatre Royal, Bath, in mid-September, then move to Richmond, after which a West End transfer is expected.

Rumours
According to industry gossip, the following are being planned:

• Alison Steadman to star in a revival of Joe Orton's Entertaining Mr Sloane in September;
• A new production of Coward's Fallen Angels this autumn, starring Felicity Kendall and Frances de la Tour;
• A regional tour and West End run of another Coward revival, Blithe Spirit, this autumn;
• Also in the autumn, Stephen Daldry is rumoured to be directing Caryl Churchill's Far Away at the Royal Court;
• A production of Ibsen's A Doll's House by Shared Experience at the New Ambassadors in November;
• And in 2001 Richard Eyre is thought to be about to direct O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night at the Donmar.
