Live Wins Ramsay Award

Newcastle's Live Theatre is the winner of this year's Peggy Ramsay Award for achievements in new writing. The award is worth £16,000 and it will be used to commission new plays for the theatre.

Live have also announced the casting for their co-production with the Royal Shakespeare Company, part of the RSC's Newcastle Season.

Sean O'Brien's new play, Keepers of the Flame, runs from 4th to 30th November at the company's Quayside venue and will feature Alan Howard and David Rintoul, alongside North east actors Trevor Fox, Deka Walmsley and Donald McBride.
