London's Albany arts centre

Sited in the culturally diverse area of Deptford, The Albany arts centre opened its doors in 2001, offering a wide–ranging programme of events in its 500–seat theatre and two studio spaces.

Thanks to an Arts Council England small capital grant, the venue will be refurbishing the main house over the summer, increasingly flexibility of use, comfort and accessibility for artists and audiences.

During the works programme, which includes electrical alterations, the addition of a bespoke staging system and installation of new sound equipment, the venue itself will remain open; its summer programme includes Circulate, a showcase of outdoor arts.
