The Fonz as Captain Hook

London Panto Casting

Summer Strallen and Danny Worters will be joining the cast of Dick Whittington, the first panto at the Barbican. Strallen plays principal boy, the eponymous Dick, and Worters is Totally Lazy Jack. They join Riger Lloyd Pack as Sarah the Cook and Sam Kelly as Alderman Fitzwarren in the Mark Ravenhill-written panto,

Over in Wimbledon, the Fonz (Henry Winkler) will play Captain Hook, the part in which David Hasselhoff was originally cast, in the New Wimbledon's Peter Pan. Hasselhoff withdrew because of conflicts with TV commitments in the US.

Winkler, best known for his ultra cool character in the TV series Happy Days, said, “I understand that there will be hissing and booing – that’s a tradition. Well, I’m telling you right now: if I am booed, I will come down to the footlights and take names. But I promise you, I will be dastardly. That’s for sure.”

Also in the Wimbledon cast are Bobby Davro as Smee and children’s TV presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell as Peter Pan.
