The Lowry in October features Rambert’s rock ’n’ roll dance hit Rooster, returning after 13 years, and the RSC’s ribald Henry plays.

Sensual Latin rhythms, Brazilian-style, see Grupo Corpo arrive at The Quays and there’ll be fun for all the family during the half term holidays with the second annual Family Arts Festival.

In The Studio, intensive care doctor-cum-performance artist Tuheen Huda makes audiences re-think attitudes to addiction with his new show Transmissions.

Award-winning company Tortoise in a Nutshell will also enchant with its paper cut-out projections and the tale of a fading seaside town in five-star show Feral.
