Darlington’s Theatre Hullabaloo has created two theatre shows for children under 30 months. Lullabub has been specially created by specialists in the field of theatre for the very young and is informed by the latest research in baby sensory development. The show will be presented in two versions, for babies 0-12 months and their grown-ups and toddlers 13-30 months and their grown-ups.

Lullabub, part of Great Place Tees Valley funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is 35 minutes and runs until 15 July (various times) in a specially created set within the Gillian Dickinson Creative Play space at The Hullabaloo.

In a tent-like dome, serenaded by gentle lullabies, toddlers will engage with an immersive performance which includes movement, puppetry and song.

Lullabub is the first show for babies to be produced at our new venue, The Hullabaloo,” said Miranda Thain, Artistic Producer at Theatre Hullabaloo, “and we are thrilled to be working with such a fantastic creative team who are specialists in their field.

“Theatre experiences for the very young are a very special way to spend time with your baby as well as contributing to their development. It’s been a real treat to share the wonder and the smiles of the babies with whom we have been developing this new show and we’re delighted to be presenting it at The Hullabaloo, Darlington’s specialist venue for children and families.”

The Hullabaloo is in Darlington’s Borough Road, close to the Hippodrome and the Forum Music Centre.
