The Merman

Children's Summer Theatre in East Anglia

Mad Dogs & Englishmen will be touring East Anglia this summer, performing some "fantastical tales" gathered from the tradition of fairy story and myth.

When two fishermen discover a Merman off the coast of Orford Ness they thought their fortunes were made. What followed is one of the strangest documented stories in history revolving around the occupants of Orford Castle in Suffolk.

Fear Not is a boy that has never shuddered. He sets off to find a way to give himself a taste of fear. Will monsters and ogres teach Fear Not a lesson?

And then there is an old favourite. The Emperor's New Clothes. Two crafty tailors live the life of luxury at the expense of a very gullible Emperor.
