There is another chance to see David Bromley's intense and moving portrayal of Gogol's tragic hero Poprischin when Howard Colyer's adaptation of Diary of a Madman has a short run at the Omnibus in Clapham.
In re–working Gogol’s darkly comic short story for the stage, Colyer has also transported the action to London. The Diary reflects the journey to insanity of a humble clerk with imperial ambitions.
As well as writing original works for the stage, Howard Colyer has also adapted a number of classics including Gogol’s absurd farce, Marriage, The Overcoat and Bulgakov's Flight.
Diary of a Madman is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over. It runs from 28 to 30 October. It is designed and directed by Scott Le Crass.
