Manchester-born Matthew Ganley will spend Christmas at home in Salford after spending the year touring the UK in the stage adaptation of Around The World In 80 Days which settles into The Lowry from December 5 to January 7.

The New Vic Theatre’s production of Jules Verne’s story is part of a six-week Christmas season.

Ganley plays alongside an ensemble cast who between them take on 125 characters in a high-spirited escapade including six trains, five boats, four fights, three dances, two circus acts and an elephant.
