Mancunian Rhapsody for Salford Arts Theatre

Mancunian Rhapsody

Hit Jewish comedy Mancunian Rhapsody, inspired by TV documentary Strictly Kosher, plays Salford Arts Theatre July 1-2 and Whitefield Garrick, Bank Street, Whitefield July 29-30.

Written by Debra Tammer, an early work-in-progress version of this play sold out every performance during its run in the Camden Fringe 2014.

Marrying together the seemingly-unrelated worlds of Queen songs with the story of Orthodox Jews, Debra knew it would be worth its weight in comedy gold.

She played Jessica in The Merchant of Venice on tour with the English Shakespeare Company, as well as appearing in ITV’s Fat Friends and the romantic comedy Suzie Gold.
