Memories of Desmond sought in Lancaster

The Dukes in Lancaster needs memories of the December 2015 floods and power cuts in the area to help create a new play at the theatre this autumn.

Tales of Storm Desmond will help The Dukes craft Blackout, a production telling the story of communities, families and individuals affected, which will be performed in October.

Blackout director, Alex Summers said, “Blackout is an approach to theatre-making with the community and we’re inviting everyone to take part. We’d like to hear from as many people as possible, it really is an open door policy."

Submit your story by e-mail to [email protected] or comment on the Blackout page of The Dukes web site by April 8 to be part of the project.
