Menier Goes to the Devil The Menier Chocolate Factory in Southwark, known primarily for its string of successful musicals, changes direction for its next production, John Webster's The White Devil, the thatre's first ever production of a Jacobean Tragedy. Leading the cast are Claire Price in the role of Vittoria, Darrell DSilva in the role of Brachiano and Aidan McArdle in the role of Flamineo. Claire has appeared in the West End in Don Carlos (Gielgud) and Brand (RSC; Haymarket). Darrell has performed in many productions for the RSC, playing Bottom in A Midsummer Nights Dream and the title role in Doctor Faustus. Most recently he performed in Royal Hunt of the Sun and The Rose Tattoo, both at the National Theatre. Aidan has most recently been seen in the film The Duchess and played the title role in Richard III for the RSC.
The cast also features Ross Armstrong, Dylan Charles, Claire Cox, John Dougall, Christopher Godwin, Louis Hilyer, Golda Rosheuvel, Nitzan Sharron and Sandra Voe. The White Devil, which is directed by Jonathan Munby, runs from 8th October (previews from 3rd) to 15th November. It follows the surrent production, the musical They're Playing Our Song, which ends on 28th September.
