Menier's Sunday West End Transfer

The Menier Chocolate Factory's production of Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George is to transfer to the West End's Wyndham's Theatre for a limited run from 23rd May (previews from 13th). Daniel Evans will continue in the role of George and will be joined by Jenna Russell (currently playing in Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre).

This new production, directed by Sam Buntrock and designed by David Farley with projection design by Timothy Bird, has won the 2006 Critics’ Circle Drama Award for Best Design and also the Best Off-West End Production in this year’s Theatregoer’s Choice awards and has been nominated for Best Musical in the Time Out Live Awards.

In early January the Menier Chocolate Factory announced that the show would extend its sell-out run for three weeks until 12th March. All performances sold out in 48 hours.

The Menier Chocolate Factory production is presented in the West End by Broadway producer Boyett Ostar, David Babani & Danielle Tarento for Chocolate Factory Productions, Caro Newling for Neal Street Productions and Mark Rubinstein. This team has been supported by Cameron Mackintosh in his capacity as the new owner of Wyndham’s Theatre
