Theatre production company Metta Theatre has launched environmental consultancy Metta Green to support sustainability in the creative sector.
The theatre company has worked with new musical theatre and climate change activism alongside each other for some time now, founding the Sustainable Touring Group, and this new venture will increase awareness and offer tailored solutions to arts organisations such as carbon reduction strategies.
In tandem with this announcement, the company has released the cast recording of new climate crisis musical HouseFire. The show has book and lyrics by P Burton-Morgan, who won the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for musical theatre book writing for In the Willows—The Hip Hop musical, and music by Felix Hagan.
