Dateline: 10th September, 2003 Money to Burn Casting Announced The casting for the new musical comedy thriller Money to Burn is now announced: Peter Blake, Andrew C Wadsworth, Sarah-Louise Young, Perry Benson, Gabrielle Noble, and Camilla. Part thriller, part farce and part satire, this new musical is written and directed by Daniel Abineri. The show previews at The Venue from 29th September, opening on 9th October at 7pm. "Let me tell you the tragic story about a man who really thought he had money to burn " Lord Oliver Justin (OJ to his friends) is an aristocrat, Old Etonian, playboy, gambler, seducer and all round bounder - and he's down on his luck. "Where has all the money gone? On birds and booze and having fun". His businesses are going bankrupt, due to his massive debts, and now his incredibly wealthy wife Tiggy has had enough and refuses to give him another penny. What's a good, or even bad, man to do! There is only one way out - he must enlist some help - and his wife must die! Alive and in the seething sexuality of the notorious Kitten Club, the Kitten's stalk the stage accompanied by a live band, presenting twelve new songs. We follow the shady underworld that we normally only read about. How are the "pillars of society" converted to crime? Can the aristocracy and socialites bribe their way out of situations? How easy is it to hire a hit man? Who do you trust? How much money changes hands? How does the media spin the apparent innocence and lies?
