Moor Space in Lancaster holds only 100 seats in a renovated church but aims to nurture talent in an immersive setting.

Kicking off the new season is Barely Visible, exploring themes of objectification and how the media portrays lesbian / queer women, using physical theatre and pole dancing to create a dynamic performance.

Next up, When We Died, an insight into how a body is prepared for a funeral while one woman comes to terms with facing her attacker one more time.

Other shows later in the season also explore body issues in contrasting ways. 5 Years explores the statistic that 20% of women would agree to take 5 years off their life in order to achieve “the perfect body”. Brawn looks at men’s mental health and the beauty standards that can often lead to an addiction to exercise and working out.

The Dukes also has a season deal of 3 shows for £30.
