Morecambe on Tour

Tim Whitnall's Edinburgh Fringe First-winning play Moercambe, performed by Bob Golding and directed by Guy Masterson, currently playing at the Duchess, is to set off on a six month UK tour later this month.

The play tells the story of the life of Eric Moercambe, one half of the what is possibly one of the greatest comedy duos of all time, Morcambe and Wise, evidenced by the fact that in 1977 The Morecambe and Wise Christmas Special attracted 29 million viewers – half the entire population of the UK at the time.
