Horrible Histories: showing how barmy Britain really is

Birmingham Stage Company will celebrate its 25th anniversary by taking over London’s Garrick Theatre to present Horrible Histories—More Best of Barmy Britain.

This new instalment of Barmy Britain, written by Terry Deary and Neal Foster, will feature more of the “horribly best bits” from all past productions along with a new scene about Shakespeare.

More Best of Barmy Britain is directed by BSC actor/manager Neal Foster. Design is by Jackie Trousdale, lighting by Jason Taylor, sound by Nick Sagar, music by Matthew Scott and choreography by Kenn Oldfield. It previews from 4 August and runs from 7 August until 2 September.

The production will run alongside Birmingham Stage Company’s adaptation of David Walliams’s best-selling book Gangsta Granny which previews at the Garrick on Charing Cross Road from 26 July and runs from 1 August until 3 September.

BSC has also announced it will produce an adaptation of another of David Walliams’s stories, Awful Auntie, which will go on a national tour in September.
