A View From The Bridge

Another classic Arthur Miller play is the latest West End production to be screened live at Lancaster’s Dukes cinema.

The Young Vic’s production of A View From The Bridge starring Mark Strong will be beamed into The Dukes on March 26.

It follows hot on the heels of The Old Vic’s version of Miller’s The Crucible which was screened in December and there’s another chance to see the recorded version on February 8.

Both Miller classics are among The Dukes's Theatre on Screen spring season which also sees satellite screenings of Meera Syal in Behind The Beautiful Forevers on March 19, Maxine Peake’s Hamlet on March 23 and April 4, Tom Stoppard’s new play The Hard Problem on April 16 and Ralph Fiennes in Man And Superman on May 14.

Two productions from the Royal Shakespeare Company can also be enjoyed on the big screen soon. Love’s Labour’s Lost is broadcast live on February 11 with an encore on February 15 and Love’s Labour’s Won is live on March 4 followed by an encore on March 15. Both plays are set against the backdrop of World War One.
