The Magic of Motown

The Magic of Motown returns to Blackpool’s Grand Theatre with the Reach Out Tour next week, celebrating its 12th year.

Featuring the music from the era, including Four Tops, Supremes, Temptations, Jackson 5, Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and more, the show serves up classic hits along with dance moves, glittering costume changes and unerring musicianship.

Dreamboats and Miniskirts swings into the venue in September.

It is the sequel to Dreamboats and Petticoats, which premièred in 2009 and has since played to more than two million people across the UK.

It’s inspired by Universal’s multi-million selling album series which now boasts seven double compilation albums and many one-off special releases.

It’s 1963 and the Petticoats gang are growing up and facing new challenges. Bobby and Laura’s first single, Dreamboats and Petticoats, went to the top of the charts, but they haven’t been able to repeat that success with any further records.

Norman and Sue have settled down to non-marital bliss—and a baby. And Ray and Donna seem blissfully happy in their professional lives… but are they really?

It runs from September 21 to 28.

And direct from London’s West End in its record breaking sixth year, Thriller Live comes to Blackpool’s Grand in October.

Seen by more than 2.5 million people in more than 26 countries, it is a visual and audio journey through Michael Jackson’s 45-year musical history.

It runs from October 5-10.
