Movin' Out Is Moving Out Early Movin' Out, the dance musical conceived by choreographer Twyla Tharp, based on the music and lyrics of Billy Joel, is to close on 22nd May at the Apollo Victoria. It had originally been booking until 17th July. On Broadway the show had eight Tony nominations in 2004 and won two: Best Choreography for Twyla Tharp and Best Orchestrations for Joel and Stuart Malina. “Despite enthusiastic audiences and standing ovations most nights together with some great reviews," a spokesperson said, "the producers have made the difficult decision to close the show early. Movin' Out has not attracted the level of audiences needed to sustain the production which requires two troupes of dancers.” Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
