Dateline: 9th October, 2003 Want to Be a Music Theatre Star? Would-be stars of music theatre are to be given a chance to hit the headlines in a new reality TV show for Channel 4. Based on the show Operatunity which gave unknowns the chance to join English National Opera, the new show Musicality, which will air next year, aims at finding someone who has the talent and the ambition to perform in a West End musical. The winner - after a period of professional training in acting, dance and singing - will take the lead in a West End show and their performance will be recorded for broadcast on Channel 4. Anyone interested in taking part in the four part series - they must not be already in professional theatre - should contact the programme-makers at Musicality enclosing a recent photograph.
