Never Forget Cancels Move The musical Never Forget, based on the songs of Take That, has cancelled its planned move to the Lyric and will now close when its stay at the Savoy comes to an end on 15th November. This was supposed to have been an open-ended transfer. "The show was going to have to be substantially re-conceived for the smaller Lyric Theatre," producer Bronia Buchanan said, "and after discussions with the theatre, the unions, our fabulous cast and creative team, we have decided we need to re-imagine this version and protect the integrity of the production in its current format which has been proven to work time and time again, astounding and thrilling audiences every single night. There is no doubt that it will be back in the West End in the not too distant future." She added that a national tour would happen soon and that other versions of the show will open around the world. As we mentioned in the BTG Blog last week, the cast have been in dispute with the producers over proposed cuts in pay, the re-writing of contracts and the termination of some contracts as a result of the move to the smaller Lyric Theatre.
