Neville's Island, the comedy by Tim Firth, opens at the West End's Duke of York Theatre on 21 October.

This production, directed by Angus Jackson, transfers from the Chichester Festival Theatre with Adrian Edmondson reprising his role of Gordon. Also in cast are Miles Jupp, Neil Morrisey and Robert Webb.

It is exactly 20 years since Nevillle's Island was first seen in London. The play was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for best comedy and subsequently Tim Firth adapted the stage play for television.

Firth's other work includes Olivier award-winning musical Our House, Calendar Girls, which was adapted into an award-winning film, and, more recently, This Is My Family.

Neville's Island starts previewing on 10 October.
