Royal and Derngate: requires candidate with "passion for the arts"

The organisation which operates Northampton’s Royal and Derngate along with The Core at Corby Cube is looking for a new chair for its board of trustees.

Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust, a registered charity, needs someone who will “support its visions, aims and values to ensure that both Royal and Derngate and The Core continue to thrive”.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a “passion for the arts, proven success in business and a desire to help cultural activity in Northamptonshire to flourish”.

Over the past year Royal and Derngate has welcomed 292,000 audience members. The Core had its most successful year since opening in 2010, with 30,000 audience members.

The role of chair of the trustees is a voluntary position. A full job description and details about how to apply can be found at the Royal and Derngate web site. The closing date for applications is Monday 5 January, with interviews taking place the following week.
