Birmingham Hippodrome is looking to unearth hidden talent for its first youth production of West Side Story on its main stage in August 2019.
Open auditions will be held for anyone aged between 14 and 25 with a talent for singing, dancing or acting. No stage experience or formal training is necessary.
Initial auditions will take place in the form of an hour-and-a-half workshop on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 January.
Hippodrome producer Kerry Andrews said, “we can’t wait to find the incredible talent in our city for an exciting new production of the classic musical West Side Story.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to work with a professional team and perform in the main auditorium.”
Further information is available at the Birmingham Hippodrome web site.
West Side Story will be performed from Thursday 29 until Saturday 31 August.
