Newcastle Theatre Royal’s pantomime, Robin Hood, has been postponed until April.

A statement from the theatre said:

“Following the Tier 3 announcement, we carefully considered all of our options with regards to Robin Hood, and we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the show to April 2021.

“Current restrictions mean that we are unable to open and without a clear timeframe for the city moving to Tier 2, progressing with the show in December is not possible.

“We have contacted ticket-holders via e-mail and we will be automatically refunding all tickets over the coming weeks. The new April dates will be announced on Friday 11 December.”

The show, which stars Danny Adams, Clive Webb and Chris Haywood with Joe McElderry, Phil Hitchcock, Zoe Birkett and Mick Potts, is one of those funded by the National Lottery grant to Qdos Pantomimes.
