The Northern Comedy Theatre has been working with British comedy legend Nigel Planer to bring his latest play, All Above Board, to the stage in August.
It opens in New Brighton and then tours across the North and Midlands.
Nigel, best known for playing Neil in classic '80s sitcom The Young Ones, has already written five stage plays and his sixth will be premièred here.
All Above Board sees an unlikely bunch of modern-day do-gooders try to make the world a better place, but they lose the plot, their morals and even their clothes in all the best traditions of classic British farce.
