Caryl Churchill's classic Cloud Nine will no longer feature as part of the Royal Court's fiftieth anniversary season. Directed by Ian Rickson, it was due to run in February and March. "There is nothing sinister about it," a statement from the theatre said. "She will be working on a new play at the time, and she finds it distracting when there is another one of her plays being performed." The Royal Court hopes that they may be able to produce the new play but Churchill has not yet made her intentions known. No announcement fo a replacement has yet been made. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
