Ellen Kent's La Traviata at the Opera House
The Beautiful Warmth at Waterside Arts Centre

A new production of Tennessee Williams’s Pulitzer prize-winning classic Cat On A Hot Tin Roof arrives at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre from Thursday to November 29.

Opera impresario Ellen Kent returns to Manchester's Opera House this week, after critically acclaimed British and Irish national tours of Nabucco, Aida and La Boheme, with traditional productions of Puccini’s masterpiece Madama Butterfly and Verdi’s heart-breaking La Traviata.

The ‘Purveyors of Cool’ come to the Opera House in Manchester on Saturday afternoon and night with the Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular featuring some of the greatest music of the 20th century.

The Beautiful Warmth, a new play by Adam Gilmour, makes its début at Waterside Arts Centre from Thursday to Saturday.

UK Touring Theatre presents a brand-new English version of A Doll’s House, Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking play about marriage, money, and the freedom of women in the late 19th century, at the Grand in Lancaster on Thursday.

Multi-award winning STOMP! comes to The Lowry from 28 October to 1 November featuring fresh material, including routines "Frogs" and "Trolleys" in the company’s signature high-octane meeting of slick choreography, tight ensemble work, industrial percussion and anarchic clowning.

At Oldham Coliseum, Original Theatre Company, which toured the acclaimed Birdsong last year, will bring its production of Jerome K Jerome's Three Men in a Boat, adapted and directed by Craig Gilbert, on 29 and 30 October.

Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse will present its latest work for young people, by young people, Half Baked, written by Alex Joynes and directed by Young Everyman Playhouse associate director Chris Tomlinson with a cast comprised of Young Everyman Playhouse actors. It runs from 29 October to 1 November in the Playhouse Studio.

The Afrovibes Festival of work from South Africa comes to Liverpool with events at Unity Theatre and The Black-E from 28 October to 1 November.
