7 Veils at the King's Arms in Salford

A 21st century adaptation of Othello at The Lowry promises an electrifying take on Shakespeare’s brutal and gripping thriller-tragedy of paranoia, jealousy, sex and murder. It runs for 90 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 14+.

Pretty Woman, House of Cards and The Princess Bride—all on the same opera bill? Opera North returns to The Lowry in Salford with three shows that have echoes of some of Hollywood’s biggest hits. La Traviata, The Coronation of Poppea and The Bartered Bride alternate from Tuesday to Saturday.

In the classic Agatha Christie whodunnit Black Coffee, featuring the much-loved super sleuth Hercule Poirot at Manchester Opera House, the Belgian detective will be played by Jason Durr, best known for his portrayal of PC Mike Bradley in TV's Heartbeat for six years. It runs from Monday to Saturday with Saturday and Thursday matinées.
