Adler & Gibb at Lancaster University's Nuffield Theatre

Tim Crouch and the Royal Court Theatre present a preview of Adler & Gibb at Lancaster University’s Nuffield Theatre next weekend. In preparation for the film role of a lifetime, an actor goes to extreme lengths to dig up the truth. Her subject is the celebrated artist Janet Adler, who rejected the art world in favour of a private life.

After a performance at Oldham Coliseum Theatre’s First Break Festival of new writing and emerging talent in May, Tangled Web and People Staring return to the Studio Theatre with another chance to see Tuesdays at Tesco’s.

Milapfest’s annual festival of world-class Indian performing arts returns to The Capstone Theatre in Liverpool.

A sparkling comedy and an intense psychological drama are about to open at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick to complete the 2016 summer season of six contrasting plays. The Rivals opens in the Main House next Saturday. Iron by Rona Munro follows in the Studio a week later.

Drama premières, comedians and poetry all continue at various venues for Greater Manchester Fringe until Sunday.
